| 0:04.9 | Arobic or anaerobic? Okay, so let's just kind of cover that. |
| 0:08.5 | Low intensity is called aerobic. That means with air. |
| 0:12.2 | High intensity is called anaerobic without air. |
| 0:15.9 | Now, this definition of aerobic is differently than if you're going to go do a type of exercise called aerobics. |
| 0:23.9 | So there's two different definitions. |
| 0:25.5 | Some people have confusion with that. |
| 0:27.2 | But the low intensity type exercise would be walking, light swimming, riding your bike, |
| 0:32.9 | to the point where you're not huffing and puffing. |
| 0:35.5 | You can talk to someone. |
| 0:37.0 | You're not out of breath. |
| 0:38.5 | The advantage of doing this is you get a lot of oxygen, |
| 0:41.7 | you get lower stress, you get improvement in brain function. |
| 0:45.3 | It actually will help regenerate brain cells, |
| 0:48.6 | which is really good. |
| 0:50.9 | But when you do low intensity of exercise, |
| 0:53.5 | the first roughly 29 minutes, let's just say a half hour, you're burning up all your stored sugar. Okay. Then after that, then your body is tapping into fat. Now, it's not a tremendous amount of fat because it's low intensity, but it's burning some fat. And that would be the time after about a half hour. |
| 1:12.9 | Okay. So if you were to work out 45 minutes, you have about 15 minutes of actual fat burning. |
| 1:19.5 | Okay. But there's other other benefits of low intensity. Now, let's talk about high intensity. |
| 1:26.1 | Well, when you're doing high intensity, you're burning up your sugar, for sure. |
| 1:30.7 | You're not going probably as long. |
| 1:32.9 | The time period that you'd want to exercise would be between 20 and 40 minutes. |
