Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, three things to watch with Congress coming back today. Number two, Rick Scott on the Senate leadership race. And number three, who to watch for House Republicans number four slot. All right, Jake, good morning. It is Tuesday and Congress is back after election season. There is no shortage of

drama and action happening here in Washington. As President-elect Donald Trump rushes to staff

up his new administration, we've got government funding, the NDAA, and the Farm Bill, all

on the docket for the period between now and

January 2nd. And of course, there are GOP leadership elections this week, which we are going to

be talking about, an array of Republicans under consideration for roles in the Trump

administration. And of course, congressional leaders are scrambling to prep for Trump's first 100 days in office

with a very ambitious agenda including by April 30th Republicans want to renew the Trump

tax cuts and pass a swath of new energy policies and border security provisions.

But let's talk about those three things that really matter here.

Government funding, the House margin, and who else will Trump tap when it comes into,

when it comes to kind of staffing up his administration?

What an exciting time to be in Washington. Okay, so government funding.

Here's the situation. The president has the president elect mike johnson uh and whoever will

become senate republican leader um have basically a binary decision in front of them of it of

all of them they have to the president can the president elect can decide and he does
