Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump day edition of the yard. Yet we're back to back.

Hope you had a great independence day. Hope you didn't lose any fingers to fireworks or, I don't know, get an upset stomach from too much barbecue or whatever. It was a workday here.

I had the house to myself, had a lot going on, got up early yesterday morning,

and, you know, recorded a show, wrote a couple articles over Gene's page,

and worked on Chapter 18 in a new book.

Today we'll start roughing out the final chapter, chapter 19.

You say, Steve, 19's a weird number.

Well, 19 is the year I got cleaning sober. So I say the year. That was the age. So I thought,

you know what, this will be a little inside tidbit for myself in honor of me making a decision

at 19 years of age to better my life.

I was lucky to live long enough to reach legal drinking age in the state of Mississippi.

Of course, I'm from the 1900s, and back in those days, you could sneak over to the state of Louisiana

at the young ripe age of 18 and legally drink and we did regularly the 3G

Dacquery Depot in Bulgulusa used to have a $7 all you could drink Wednesday night

special they lost money on me every single week so we got our money's worth but

nevertheless so we'll start rough it out chapter 19 So we got our money's worth, but nevertheless.

So we'll start rough it out chapter 19 today, and then I'll take a day or two to kind of rest,

and then we'll start working back through the edits, and we'll work back through some rewrites and adding some additional detail.

The good thing is I've made it all the way through 11 chapters

through editing without having to have a lot to deal with. Got to go back and add a little detail of chapter 12.

But nevertheless, it's been quite the experience. For those of you that have ever been in the recovery,

it's been like doing a fourth step all over again. So I feel great. I'm happy.
