Happy 4th of July to you. Isn't it great to be in a land that celebrates some measure of freedom?

Maybe we're not as free as we once were. And some people's eyes were freer than ever.

And maybe that's a good thing. Maybe not.

But nevertheless, we're not going to get into politics today. We're not going to do that.

This is our lane to be free from all of that. So we've got a lot to talk about today. Got a little

baseball recruiting traffic. His state picks up a couple of official declarations yesterday,

a junior college pitcher and a portal catcher. We'll kind of get you up to speed on that.

And I'm almost done with the book. A lot of people have asked about that, a lot of support

for the new book. I'm about two chapters away from being finished.

So we'll see. You know, it's like I begin this process and sometimes I wonder, okay, how's this

going to go? Where's it going to go? And this one has been easy to write in many respects,

because I don't have to do a ton of fact checking, right? It's my own life, right?

And that's one thing that I've learned, too,

is if you outlive your critics, you're the one that gets the right to book, right?

So here we are.

But it's been great, and I tell you, I had a chance to talk to a long-lost friend,

Kevin Covellollo this week.

I hadn't talked to him in about 25 years, at least.

And Kevin, of course, was the lead singer of the band Cebello that I was a part of for a year or so.

We had a great time.

Got in a lot of trouble.
