What's your four minute mile? You know the story of Roger Battersteer. Like he basically said,

I'm going to beat the four minute mile. I'm going to be the fastest person to see

able to run this and literally add doctors telling him, if you attempt to do this, your heart will

explode and you will die. And what did he say? I'm obsessed. I'm committed. I'm going to do it

anyway. In the moment he broke that record, you know the story. What happened within a couple

of weeks is all of a sudden everybody else was able to do it. Why? What he did is he broke

through the glass ceiling. I know you. You have a perception of yourself. You have a belief

of yourself that says, well, no one in my family has ever earned more than this. I've never earned

more than this. Nobody in my office is working more than this. Nobody I know is making this kind

of money. Maybe that's just your four minute mile. Maybe that's something you need to get obsessed

and figure out. What do I need to do? What do I need to say? How do I need to market? How much more

value could I deliver? What are the things I could do that are unique or different that would allow me

to shatter that glass ceiling and beat the four minute mile. Tick-tock, tick-tock, you've heard

me say it before. Life is short. What are you committed to? Everybody's going to grind. Everybody's

going to hustle. But I love the quote. If you just grind with no sense of purpose, all you do is end

up as dust.
