Do you ever pause and ask yourself why you're doing something that in the longer term doesn't have a good consequence for you?

That might feel good and exciting and give you a rush in the moment, but in the longer term it leaves you feeling unhappy,

Look, our brains are smart. There is always a payoff. We don't do anything just for the heck of it or because we're silly, right?

There is a payoff in the moment and when we acknowledge that payoff, we can look at it and go, hmm, is this payoff actually worth it for me?

Is this payoff true? Is this payoff real? Is this payoff, in fact, to pay off? Or is it a momentary feeling of relief or a momentary soothing
