| 0:00.0 | So what's on your bucket list? |
| 0:07.0 | Welcome to Walking is Fitness. |
| 0:10.0 | This is a podcast of action providing a little extra motivation to help you keep that fitness promise you made yourself. |
| 0:17.0 | Hi, I'm Dave. I started walking for fitness in 2013. Still take an intentional fitness walk every single day. I'm walking right now and I would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes. |
| 0:31.6 | About 15 years ago, I bought a small Moleskin notebook and began to compile a bucket list. You know, those lists |
| 0:41.0 | of things that you want to do before you kick the bucket before you die. And I think I had |
| 0:49.1 | about 50 items on this list in the way I did it. Again, it was a small notebook. Each page at the top, |
| 0:55.2 | I listed, wrote out that thing that I wanted to accomplish and then left the rest of the page |
| 1:01.2 | blank. And the idea was as I was either pursuing the goal or accomplishing the goal, then I would |
| 1:09.3 | keep notes. My idea was to be very intentional about this. |
| 1:15.1 | And I remember just how fun it was. I think it took maybe a week or so, and I picked the book up every day and think, okay, so what is it that I want to do? What do I want to accomplish? |
| 1:26.6 | And got very excited about it. And I remember |
| 1:29.7 | looking at that book on a consistent regular basis and even planning how I was going to do certain |
| 1:40.3 | things. And what had motivated me was reading a book by a brand new author, who I can't |
| 1:49.2 | remember if he devoted an entire chapter or part of a chapter talking about his, what he |
| 1:54.8 | called a life list, which I actually like that phrase better than bucket list. |
| 2:07.2 | His life list had 100 items, and he's about 10 years younger than me, and he had actually put his life list together even 10 years or so before he wrote the book. |
| 2:12.6 | So he was probably in his 30s, and he had written out all these things that he wanted to accomplish. |
| 2:19.8 | Some of them were a little whimsical. |
| 2:23.3 | There was one, if I'm remembering correctly, |
| 2:26.1 | he wanted to kiss his wife while standing on the Eiffel Tower. |
| 2:31.6 | That's kind of fun. |
