Dr. Berg talks about what is missing in the calorie theory. Merely a matter of calories in and calories out is the concept of weight loss. The missing in this concept is the “hormonal effect” over your macros (carbohydrates, fats, and protein). Different macros respond to hormones differently and that explains that there is a huge difference in how the body responds to calories.  He also talks about the main hormone called Insulin.
