For a congressional reporter like Liz Goodwin, today's a weird day.

It's the day most of the people she reports on are going to find out if they still have

jobs.

It's the day she's going to find out whether next year instead of covering the January

6th committee, she'll be covering an investigation into Hunter Biden.

And it's also the culmination of a bitter campaign season.

Election Day in some ways feels like a relief as someone who covers politics because it

just feels like each campaign cycle is getting longer and longer and the atmosphere around

them is more and more toxic.
