So we got some rain yesterday afternoon, actually quite a bit of rain.

There's some puddles here where I'm walking and you can hear those.

I'm going to try to avoid walking in the puddles.

It's pre-sunrise, in fact, I don't even have early daylight, so I've got a flashlight so I'm not stepping in these puddles.

When it rains, it actually is a little bit of a bummer for me and Ava. I've mentioned these acorn shells that are on the sidewalks in some of the places where we walk.

And we love stepping on these acorn shells and hearing them pop, crack.

And it's almost a competition.

Who can make the loudest acorn pop?

Sometimes we're even jumping up and down on them.

But after it rains, they get wet and soggy and they don't make a noise.

So it'll be another, probably not today.

I don't know that they'll be dry enough later today for us to be cracking those acorn shells.

Maybe tomorrow if we don't get any more rain, that'll be nice.
