Good morning, Church family.

My name is Allison Davis, and I have had the privilege of serving with our Livewell luncheon,

with our welcome team, and then also in our core classes.

Today I'm going to be reading from Genesis 2, verses 7 and 8.

Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils,

and the man became a living being. The Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east,

and there he placed the man he had formed. This is the word of the Lord.

If you have your Bibles, go ahead and turn there.

That will be our passage for our time together.

We're kicking off a three-week series on biblical masculinity this morning.

I'm not talking about the difference between male and female.

I think that's fairly easy.

I mean, maybe not, but a male has an X, Y, chromosome and a penis,

and maybe that's the first time you've heard that word from the stage.

And women don't.

So I'm talking about the difference, because here, I think we know this intuitively.

You can have an X, Y, chromosome and a penis and not be a man.
