We are diving deep into the heart this week.

And when you think about your heart or the heart center in general, it's easy to

immediately think about all the love that we hold for the people in our lives or for being alive, getting

to walk this earth, compassion, forgiveness. We tend to associate our heart space with all the

positive emotions and the positive parts about feeling alive and creative and expressing ourselves.

But the truth is, the heart is a container for everything, absolutely everything. In our hearts, we hold not just joy and love and

gratitude, but also shame and grief and pain and suffering.

And we're able to really hold and feel the full spectrum of emotion, all at the same time

even.

We are capable of holding much more than one thing.

And although I know you are so grateful for so much in your life right now and you have so

many blessings and you are giving and receiving love, I also know that there is a struggle that

you're carrying in your heart right now. There is a weight, something that just makes your heart feel a little bit heavy,

some grief, some frustration, some pain, something that has been moving inside of you,

maybe since recently, maybe just since a few moments ago, or perhaps

for a very, very long time.

So taking a moment right now just to get very honest with yourself and to give your heart

a little bit of space to just expand into what is already true.

And this is not about wallowing.

It's not about self-pity.

It's just about honesty, about authenticity, about really looking at what is painful for us right now.
