One of the greatest, most enjoyable elements of the world of publishing this year

has been seen Sankanamo Sangera's book Empire Land

set the world on fire, which I kind of knew it would

because I was lucky enough to have a sneak preview.

Obviously, watching a book that you have complimented on the cover considerably sell more than your own

effort is something with which all authors have to deal at some point. It's why I

don't advise hanging out with Richard Osman on a regular basis. But the success of

Empire Landers, very cleverly prompted Channel 4 to commission

Satnam to make a television documentary series called

Empire and Me and it's on tomorrow night on Channel 4 and two hour long episodes and satnam joins

me on the line now did did the TV show spring from the reaction to the book or the content of

the book actually know as you know James um TV and books both take a very long time.

And actually, TV show was commissioned before the book came out.
