Hello, everybody, and welcome back to making the argument. Yesterday, we talked a little bit about

the responses that was coming out of Trump's raid on Maduro. A lot of people from Venezuela,

whether it be in the diaspora or people in Venezuela seem to be praising it on social media,

while a lot of people on the left seemed to be upset, which didn't really surprise any of us.

And we talked a little bit about

how that impacted policy going forward. But today, what I really want to go into is what happens

next. And by that, I mean, I want to do kind of a brief overall analysis of what is the

situation on the ground in Venezuela. what should we expect with respect to our

response? Because Donald Trump said in his press conference that we were essentially going to

run Venezuela as part of a coalition that would obviously include people from Venezuela.

But there's a lot of work that needs to be done to establishing a government, establishing

security for that government, establishing security for that government,

establishing security for the population, as well as for the strategic infrastructure, which is

going to be highly necessary in order to make sure that this government can stand on its own

two feet. And how much is the United States going to be on the hook for all of that? That is what

we are going to discuss today on making

the argument. So, with that, in further ado, let's jump right into it. First thing I want to do

let's do Venezuela at a glance here. So Venezuela is home to about 28.4 million people. Now,

one of the things that you need to understand is that millions of people left Venezuela

over the last six to five to six years.

There's a massive diaspora that has left Venezuela as a result of the economy tanking several years back.
