Hello and welcome back to making the argument. That's right, now five days a week. Well,

we've had a lot going on over the weekend. Obviously, everything that happened with Venezuela is

going to be a main topic of conversation for today. But specifically, we're going to talk about

how Venezuelans have been discussing this and what the left's response to those Venezuelans has

been, not to mention the fact that we

would be remiss if we did not also mention that Tim Walts has backed out of running for his third

term as governor of Minnesota. And I think a lot of us are happy to see this happening,

but we're hoping that's not where this ends. Because simply because the guy decided to not

run for governor doesn't mean that he shouldn't be held accountable for some of the things that happened within their government.

But I want to say this right off the bat because there's been a lot of people understandably frustrated about how much fraud was going on and how it either wasn't caught or wondering when there's going to be prosecutions.

I've seen a couple memes saying Republicans are just going to use this to fundraise and then they're going to move right on. That is a valid concern. But I can't emphasize this enough. Please trust me when I say this, having served 10 years in a state legislature, so many people will look at what is going on at the federal level. They will say, we've got Trump in the White House. We've got Cash Patel's director of the FBI. We've got the House. We've got the Senate. Why aren't we prosecuting more people? Well, because a lot of these crimes are state-level crimes. The vast majority of the laws that you see people running afoul of are at the state level, not at the federal level so the fbi has already come in

there from what i understand they've already they've already indicted dozens of people they're trying to get

them on federal laws but a lot of this stuff is state level offenses which means you got to have a good

attorney general you got to have a you got to have a good um commonwealth attorney or district attorney depending on what state you live in you got to have a good commonwealth attorney or district attorney depending on what state you live in

you got to have a good sheriff right these are elections that matter so please please please for the love

of god right if we're going to say we love our constitution if we're going to say that we love the way that we

have organized as a country we need to understand how it operates so we can be the most effective

at making sure that people are held accountable when they break the law and a lot of these laws are at the state level and that's where they need to be prosecuted. So be paying attention to this and make sure that you have the sort of people that are willing to actually enforce the law the way it's supposed to at the state level. All right. Let's jump into Venezuela. So the day, gosh, the day all this was going on the next morning,

I got up and I did a couple of live episodes talking about, okay, what did this mean for the United

States? What does it mean for Venezuela? We listened to President Trump's press conference

that he did and came back and talked about it as well. And I verbalized right off the bat.
