It is outrageous that we have technology and devices in our pockets now that can connect us better than ever before.

And we have accidentally raised the loneliest generation in the history of the modern world.

Do you feel Britain is crumbling?

I think it's in a really bad way.

And I think it's only going to escalate given the huge civilizational disruption that's coming with AI.

The only way that we will survive, but also that the art forms will survive,

is if the audience decide to not buy a book

that's written by an algorithm.

If we forget that as consumers of art,

if we go, oh, it's fine,

I actually really like that song that was made by a machine.

We would betray a huge part of what makes us human.
