After this weekend's capture of Nicholas Maduro, that is what President Donald Trump says is going to happen anyway.

So what does it mean for America to run another country?

Is there any good case for taking out a corrupt socialist authoritarian like Maduro?

Matt Welch, and returning special guests, Robbie Suave. Happy Monday, everybody. So over the weekend,

as you probably know, U.S. forces entered Venezuela, struck multiple targets from the air,

and the captured Venezuelan president, or the guy who calls himself president anyway.

This is a matter of dispute. Nicholas Maduro.

And now Trump says the U.S. is going to run Venezuela, quote, until such time that we can do a safe,

proper, and judicious transition. So far, we don't have many

details in what this means. So I'm just going to start with you, Matt. What do you think it means

that we're going to run Venezuela? I don't think that we have any idea what it means, because Donald

Trump, as is his want in and out of the presidency, is to say a lot of different things about the

very same thing.

So we don't know.

It means that we have not even done a regime change war.

I've been saying on this podcast for a while that he's been looking to do regime change on the cheap.
