All right, let's start with Joan Powell. Powell is obviously the chairman of the Federal Reserve

over the weekend. It was revealed that the U.S. Attorney's Office opened a criminal investigation

into him for spending on the Fed's new office project. That investigation was approved last year by Trump-Alli, Janine Piro.

But by nearly every account, this has basically nothing to do with offices and office furniture

and elevators and all the stuff that they were complaining about in some of the congressional

hearings.

Instead, this is about interest rates.

Trump has pressured Powell to lower interest rates

basically since he came into office,

and Trump has reportedly been looking to oust Powell in response.

Catherine, libertarians like to say we should end the Fed, right?

We don't want it anymore.

But it seems like Trump isn't trying to end the Fed

or the central bank here.

He just wants to run it.
