Hello my friends I'm so glad you were back with me to get your mind aligned with

the truth of God for this day it's important that we do that every single day, so I'm glad you're taking the time.

We are digging into what I believe is one of the most transformative concepts

in the book of Romans, if we can get this.

And it's all a part of understanding how we as

human beings work. You see the Bible is more than just a spiritual guidebook.

It's a book that describes on a very deep level how God has

designed us, the kinds of things that happen inside our psyche and inside our souls.

And so today we're going to just tiptoe into that little bit

because this whole section we're coming up on here in Romans chapter 7

is all about that and we've got to get a good foundation underneath us to

understand what it is the apostle Paul is talking about. Now let's start out in

Romans chapter 7 verse number 14 it's a very simple statement but we

need to make sure we understand what Paul means by the things he says here's what

he writes for we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the

flesh sold under sin.

Now let's just unpack it one phrase at a time, for we know that the law is spiritual.

He's referring back to the Old Testament moral code that was given to Moses on Mount Sinai,

the Ten Commandments.

And he's saying we know that is spiritual.

What he means by that is it's good. It's blessed of God. It is an accurate representation of the kinds of

things God expects and in fact demands of human beings.
