Romans 7:15-20 - For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

0:31.0	live today. What might happen in the relationships, in the conversations, in the circumstances that are
0:37.7	faced all around the globe, my friends, that is my prayer each and every day as we endeavor to do this together.
0:43.7	All right, we're in Romans chapter 7 and I want you to stop and think for a moment about your
0:48.5	own life, about your own struggle with sin.
0:52.2	Now your practical sins, I mean the sins that come out in your day-to-day existence, are going to look different than mine are.
1:00.0	Mine are going to look different than yours, and different from the one who's listening
1:05.1	across the world. But the fact remains that we all struggle to fight this thing that we call sin. And I hope it's good news to you, encouraging news
1:16.8	to you to know that the apostle Paul felt the same way. He had this very same
1:22.1	struggle. In fact here in verse 15 of chapter 7
1:24.9	the apostle Paul is going to describe for us how it felt for him to wage this war
1:31.1	against sin.
1:33.5	And we need to go through it very carefully and very slowly.
1:36.2	We're going to take probably a couple of episodes here to do three or four verses
1:40.1	because we want to make sure we're understanding what Paul's saying and what he's not saying.
1:46.3	So let's pick up in chapter 7 verse 15.
1:49.8	Paul says, for I do not understand my own actions.
