Hi guys, it's Rachel and I'm here. I'm back. I'm finding myself in a really interesting

0:16.6

place in my life and a really interesting place in my career and at any time I have,

0:24.4

I mean, frankly, anything that I've gone through in the last decade I have walked through

0:30.6

with you guys while it's happening and I think this is no exception and also this feels maybe

0:38.2

like a more important thing to process than anything that has come before. So I am not going

0:46.4

to devote every episode of my podcast to the work that I'm doing right now but I do think

0:52.5

I wanted to talk to you guys about where I'm at after last week's episode. So if you didn't hear

1:00.3

last week's episode, this is probably a great time to go listening on that if you'd like to understand

1:06.6

kind of what's going on in my world but in this week's episode I want to talk about what it looks

1:16.1

like to make a mistake and what to do with that because well first of all that's what I'm going

1:26.8

1:37.7

we get things wrong and where we go from there because I think there is a bit of fear for so many

1:49.0

people about definitely failure. I mean that's a massive fear that so many people have and

1:56.2

something that I've talked about a ton over the years but when I've talked about failure I've never

2:02.2

really looked at it through the lens of having done something where you hurt someone's feelings

2:09.3

or you offended someone or you made a mistake that you wish you could take back and that's the

2:18.4

world that I'm living inside of right now. So what do you do with that and how do you move forward

2:28.0

because I think that there is an instinct when you mess up to sort of give up and if that's what

2:40.0

happens you don't learn anything you can't grow you can't change you can't evolve and given

2:48.3

everything that's happened I feel like it's really important for me to talk to you guys about

2:53.6

it because I know I'm not the only one who's ever messed up so this week I've been thinking a lot

3:01.2

about how you can sit in the discomfort of making a mistake and also how can you find the lesson
