Hello and welcome to this holiday edition of the 538 Politics Podcast.

I'm Galen Tric.

And if everything is going according to plan, this podcast is airing on December 27th,

although it was recorded a little bit earlier as many of us are off this week.

So here's hoping that the new cycle is relatively calm and everyone is getting a chance to spend

time with family, take time off from work, or at least relax a little bit.

It's been another wild year and I'll say that I hope future me is nowhere near a computer

right now.

I'll also say this is our last podcast of 2021.

And so today we're going to take a look back at the year in data and hopefully have a

little fun doing it.

We're going to play guess what Americans think 2021 edition.

That means I am going to cite a question that was put to Americans in a poll or survey

this year and our panelists are going to have to guess how they responded.
