Well, it's been a year.

2024 was less than I'd hope for.

However, there were still some moments, events, and circumstances that I think are absolutely worth revisiting.

So welcome to my top five moments, experiences, etc., of 2024. I wanted to start

at number five with the presidential nominations. As we know, after Joe Biden dropped out of

the presidential race, Kamala Harris stepped up and received the Democratic nomination for

the presidency. So let's start off on that high note. She's done it. Vice President Kamala Harris

has secured the Democratic nomination for president, becoming the first woman of color at the top

of a major party ticket. She crossed the threshold this afternoon, picking up the majority of Democratic delegates

in a virtual roll call vote.

I accept your nomination to be president of the fact that the Republican Party chose to nominate Donald Trump.

But before we play that clip, I just want to make it clear to you that it may have seen like a foregone conclusion in 2024 that he was going to be the nominee because who else would it be.

But two years earlier,

it actually would have been unthinkable. They went ahead and did it anyway. Here's the clip.

Today, former President Donald Trump is officially the Republican nominee. I'm not supposed to be here

tonight. He accepted his third Republican presidential nomination in a 92-minute-long speech.

In the days after an assassin attempted to take his life, Trump said he ripped up his prepared speech

to write one that would unite the country and not reference his rival, President Joe Biden, by name. He then went off script.

If you took the 10 worst presidents and the history of the United States, think of it, the 10 worst

added them up. They will not have done the damage that Biden has done.

Trump then repeated a slew of misleading, anti-immigrant, transphobic, and at times blatantly false claims.

Lies are called lies, and there were so many of them we lost count.
