For reasons I don't completely remember, 2015 was a tough year for me.

And I remember thinking at the end of it,

2016 couldn't possibly be worse.

Well, it was.

Despite the fact that I thoroughly believed, as did most of the people I knew in New York,

that Donald couldn't possibly become the Republican nominee, he did, and then the rest is history.

And then every year since then, at the end of 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019. I thought to myself, this year was terrible.

Next year couldn't possibly be worse.

And every year was.

And then 2020 happened.

And that was a year that was absolutely off the charge,

like absolutely nothing any of us had ever experienced

before we had a global pandemic

with the worst possible person on the planet

in charge of things.

We had an economic collapse.

We had the threats to American democracy

posed by the person in the Oval Office.

We had Donald undermining Americans faith in free and fair elections.

Because if you'll remember, he actually started the big lie before the election in November

of 2020, which was fascinating.
