All right, folks, so today is Wednesday, November the 5th, and whew, baby, do elections

have consequences or what? My God, as I said on my show this morning, I am used to being

a disappointed New York City voter. I'm not used to being exhilarated after an election, quite

frankly, I am much more often sort of in a place of resignation

where it's like, all right, the candidate I wanted to win did not win, but we got work to do. I got

people on behalf, on whose behalf I'm working. And so we're going to suck it up buttercup,

just because your person didn't win. Doesn't mean you got, you know, nothing to do. You have even

more to do in that

moment. So last night, y'all, oh my goodness, the Democrats mollywapped the Republicans. They

bodied the Republicans. They whipped that Republican electoral ass. They crushed it. They handled it. The Democrats didn't just win. They got a

decisive mandate. This was a clean sweep, which is to say they beat the brakes off of their

opponents. What was so curious about this was some of the lessons that came out of this and some of the

patterns that came out of this. And of the patterns that came out of this.

And as I was watching the analysis, it was clear to everybody that essentially we have a

situation where the Democrats won in races all across the country in districts that Kamala Harris

had won and they were overperforming in those Kamala Harris districts.

But what also was happening in terms of patterns that we can learn from is that the Republicans

underperformed in places that Donald Trump won. And speaking of Mango Mussolini, sorry to all of you

who love mangoes, I'm one of them. It smells the delicious fruit on the planet. And yet I call

him mango Mussolini
