We're recording a little bit later than usual just because I was waiting to get updates

0:24.6

on a few of these players.

0:25.7

Didn't seem to make any sense to do the show if we didn't know their injury designations.

0:29.6

So I waited just a little bit.

0:31.3

And normally these Friday shows, they're going to vary a little bit.

0:33.9

One thing is for sure, though, the main topic, it's always going to be injury updates

0:37.4

heading into the weekend we've gotten a few days of practice when we have those injury

0:41.4

reports to go off of when we've heard from the beat writers just to give it some

0:45.0

context that's also very important so we'll do big week one takeaway episodes on monday

0:49.9

and tuesday we'll do that for all the games and what we learned i'll talk about the lions

0:54.1

and chiefs game then i'm not going to do it today we'll just bundle for all the games and what we learned. I'll talk about the Lions and Chiefs game then. I'm not going to do it today. We'll just bundle it all together early next week. Today, we're just going to run through the injuries, including a few players who got added to the injury report in the last 24 hours, which is not ideal to see guys get downgraded with new injuries late in the week. But fortunately, we got mixed results. A couple of the guys, they were just resting them, and I'll let you know as we go along here about them. But regardless of what happens, we have to adapt the first step in doing that, it's knowing what's happening out there injury-wise. So let's go position by position, and we will start with quarterbacks, which is really the only easy one we get to go

1:28.1

through today. Joe Burrell, the lone name on my list at quarterback. He's coming back from that

1:32.8

calf injury that caused him to miss the preseason. And he's also coming back with a very nice new

1:37.7

contract that makes them the highest paid player in the league. Really nice timing on that as well.

1:42.6

They announced it during the Chiefs game last night right after it started, but Burroughs good to go injury-wise. Thankfully, he might not run much, but we don't really rely on his rushing stats. So we want to see him out there, lighten it up to the air, and he should be fine to do that this week. He is a strong fantasy start as usual. That's it for the QBs, though, like I said. So let's move on to running backs. And Romandre Stevenson, he was a bit of a surprise. He missed practice on Friday. It was with an illness, though. Somebody said it was a stomach bug. So I would expect him to play on Sunday. Normally when guys get sick during the week, they make it back and they're available for the game on the weekend. So no changes to Stevenson's ranking at the moment. Kenneth Walker, so this was one of the names that got added to the injury report too. It happened for him on Thursday though. He was listed as limited with a groin issue. And fortunately, it was just the Seahawks giving him a light day because all the time he missed in August and the groin injury that he had then and now he's coming back from it. So he was completely off the injury report today, which is great news. He'll be out there on Sunday and it's a really good spot for him too. The Seahawks are set up to just absolutely run over the Rams. The Rams very short-handed on both sides of the ball. They lost a ton of talent

2:52.6

on their defense this offseason too. So Walker is an RB1 for me this week, which based on his

2:58.4

draft ranking that I had, you might be surprised because I had them more as a mid to low end

3:03.3

RB2. But in this game, this is the perfect script for him. He's going to get a lot of opportunities to break big runs.

3:09.9

And then I also think that the rookie Zach Charbonnet, he's going to get a decent amount

3:13.5

of work too.
