The presidential candidates are continuing their media blitz.

I'm Hannah Jewel. It's Wednesday October 16th. Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories. Number one, Donald Trump sidestepped questions about a peaceful transfer of power.

The Republican presidential nominee was interviewed by Bloomberg News yesterday.

When asked if he would respect a peaceful transfer of power after next month's election, he did

not directly answer the question. He also falsely

claimed that there was a peaceful transfer of power in 2021. Here's how we

describe the events of January 6th 2021.

People were angry.

People went there and I'll tell you what, they never show that.

The primary scene in Washington was hundreds of thousands, the largest group of people I've ever spoken before and I've spoken

before and it was love and peace.

On that day a violent mob attacked the U.S try and stop the affirmation of Joe Biden's election victory.

Rioters assaulted 140 police officers damaged the capital and destroyed government property, and five people died as a result of the

attack.

We're sticking with the campaign for number two.

Kamala Harris will be interviewed on Fox News today.

Fox is the go-to election news source for Republicans,

and Harris's decision to appear on the network is risky, but she's aiming to reach as wide an audience as possible before voters head to the polls in less than three weeks.

As part of that strategy, yesterday she spoke with radio host

Charlemagne the God on his show The Breakfast Club. That appearance was aimed at

securing support among black men who are a critical demographic that Harris has struggled to mobilize.
