Hey friends, welcome back Genesis 33 today in your Bible.

We are continuing the journey with Jacob along the way.

And what a great experience he had with the Lord back in chapter 32, wrestling with the Lord

and receiving that blessing. And although he walks away with a limp, he walks away with the

confidence that God's presence and God's favor and the new identity, the Prince with God, Israel is his. And that is worth

all the limping that he will ever do. And today we're going to find out what happens with this

whole Esau situation because that's really what gave rise to Jacob being alone and Jacob being so afraid and Jacob

seeking God and Jacob realizing I need the blessing. It was the negative circumstance of life

that drove Jacob to a place where God was his only option. Sometimes that's what happens with us.

Sometimes in spite of our physical blessings,

Jacob was very blessed physically.

We know that.

In spite of all that, we realized that we're missing something that is more central.

I think about the famous Tom Brady interview,

where he had won the Super Bowl and was on top of the world, married to a

supermodel and rich and famous and handsome and all those things.
