| 0:38.3 | We're in a section of Genesis chapter 32 that is really, really powerful. |
| 0:45.3 | Not that any of the Bible is not powerful. |
| 0:48.3 | We know it is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-ed sword. |
| 0:53.3 | But today, this passage is just extra special to me. |
| 0:58.6 | And it's one that you're familiar with, but I think it's wise that we just dive in, take it |
| 1:03.6 | verse by verse. So Genesis 32 and verse 24, where Jacob now has sent all of these gifts to Esau one by one, |
| 1:15.6 | expecting and hoping and praying that Esau will accept them and that Esau's anger will have been |
| 1:23.0 | assuaged and that he can restore a relationship and go back home and bygones can be bygones. |
| 1:30.0 | And so Jacob is just spending this alone time. |

| 1:36.1 | So Jacob is all by himself. |
| 1:39.0 | And I'll tell you what, there is a noisiness to aloneness. |
| 1:50.9 | Isn't there? Yeah, you get alone to be alone, to be restful, |
| 1:57.4 | to be quiet. But boy, all of a sudden you hear a cacophony of voices, don't you? You can hear God like you've never heard it before. Even going out into the woods and taking a walk, |

| 2:08.4 | the birds and like the wind and all of it. And so here is Jacob all alone. And it says in verse 24, |
