Hey guys, welcome back to our final lesson in our parent teen series on just having a healthy

relationship. And I hope that what we've talked about thus far has been a help and a blessing.

I've actually saved what I believe to be the most important aspect of

the parent-teen relationship to be this last lesson. And in many ways, this lesson will congeal

many of the other things about which we've spoken. So I want to talk today about spiritfulness.

What does it mean? And more importantly,

how does it apply to the relationship that parents have with teenagers and that teenagers

have with their parents? So a couple anchor passages to consider today. First of all, Ephesians 518. What does it mean to be full of God's spirit?

Galatians 522 and 23. What would be the evidence that I'm walking in God's spirit? John 15. What does it

mean to abide in Christ? How does that affect the way we think and behave? And then finally,

Romans chapter 8, the mindset of the spirit will produce peace in our life and in our relationships.

So let's talk about those anchor passages as they relate to the following five statements. Okay, so statement

number one, spiritfulness is the foundation of a healthy parent-teen relationship. Now, I've

chosen that word carefully. It's the foundation. Sometimes we look at the Christian life outside

in.

And what I mean by that is, you know, what behaviors would mark a good parent?

Well, he would be faithful and have boundaries and do family devotions and take his kids to church and where the list goes on and on. And what behaviors would make a teenager a better teenager?
