Now, let's see where Kurt is today. Do you know that when Paul was here

at Ephesus, he was also managing other churches? Because one of the major reasons why Paul came

on the Third Missionary journey was to raise money. He was raising money for poor saints back at

Jerusalem. And he's raising this money.

He's writing letters. He's visiting churches in Galasia, in Macedonia, in Achaea, and he's

writing these letters. And one of the letters he wrote was right from here. You know what letter

that was? First Corinthians. Now, he wrote a letter before First Corinthians from here too. He probably wrote a letter between First and Second Corinthians. Now, he wrote a letter before 1st Corinthians from here too. He probably wrote a letter

between 1st and 2nd Corinthians here too. Okay? And when he writes those letters, he's dealing with things like

this carnal church in Corinth. They're not getting it yet. He's getting a report from people like the

household of Chloe that come visit him here. People like Achaicus and Fortunatis and Stephanus that are here saying,

Paul, we got trouble over in Corinth.

They've got this question and that question.

They're asking about marriage and gifts and they're asking about the resurrection.

And Paul writes First Corinthians and he deals with all this.

He deals with their carnality. He deals with all this. He deals with their carnality.

He deals with the gospel.

He deals with marriage.

He deals with gifts.

...
