Hey friends, First Kings chapter 19 today, we're in verse 9. Elijah has run from Jezebel unwisely. He is in a bad place. I mean, he is suicidal. He is

entirely deflated. Just want to give up, take my life. And the Lord just graciously meets him.

And supernaturally, through an angel, provides food and

drink and rest for him. And he tells him the journey ahead of you is too great for you.

So I need to strengthen you to take you to a place so I can teach you some lessons. And God often

does that in our lives. Sometimes God has to show us something

before he tells us something. So he puts us in a venue or in a circumstance or in a physical

place where the context of that circumstance or place helps us to understand what he's going to say

at that place. And a good example of that would be Jeremiah chapter 18, where God comes to

Jeremiah and says, Jeremiah, I want you to get up and go down to the potter's house and there

I will cause they to hear my word. And Jeremiah does that.

He goes down to the potter's house and he watches the potter work on this clay and it gets marred in his hand.

And he makes another vessel.
