depression, but good people, even great people in the Bible who loved God, who loved the Word of God,

got into positions in their life where they made some bad choices and found themselves in a bad way.

Maybe that's you today.

First Kings chapter 19 today in your

Bible. We're continuing our study of the Kings, but as the scriptures would unfold it, we've really

parenthesised our study on the Kings because we're looking at the life of Elijah, how God introduces

his word and his prophet in the middle of a really ugly stretch in the northern kingdom's history.

So we're looking at primarily the reign of Ahab, how that Ahab has imported Bail worship into the lifeblood of God's people.

And God is taking care of that. And he has taken care of that by sending Elijah. And we have

confronted the prophets of Bail. The reign has now come. It just seems as if this should be a time

of great celebration, a great time of national renewal, a time when Ahab and the people can turn the hearts

of God's people back to God. The people are ready. They've seen the contest. They've dealt with

the prophets of bail.

This is a perfect time to seize upon the great move of God that's taking place.

And how often have we seen that in churches or in a good teen camp or a revival service,

where we sensed genuinely the move of God.
