Let's get you caught up with today's 7 stories. Number one, primary

elections took place in New York and Colorado yesterday. In New York's 16th Congressional District, county official George Latimer

defeated the incumbent Representative Jamal Bowman in the Democratic primary.

It was a bitter race that divided the candidates on the topics of race, class, and Israel.

Bowman's defeat represents a major blow to the most liberal contingent of the House Democratic

Caucus.

Latimer spoke to his supporters last night after his victory.

We have to look at the arguments of the far right and the far left and say, you cannot destroy this country with your rhetoric and your arguments.

This was the most expensive House primary in history.

Latimer was aided by massive spending against Bowman, who's been highly critical of

Israel's war in Gaza.

A prominent pro-Israel lobbying group called AIPAC spent more than $14 million on ads supporting Latimer.

Bowman spoke to his supporters last night about his defeat.

We should be outraged when, unfortunately, some... when unfortunately some so-called Democrats are lining themselves

with radical racist right-wing Republicans. We should be outraged about that.

And over in Colorado, Representative Lauren Bobert won a Republican primary in a new district.

She had decided not to seek re-election in her current more competitive one where she barely
