Vice President Harris held her first campaign rally in Milwaukee yesterday.

She spoke to a roaring crowd of thousands as she made her campaign trail debut.

She tried to redefine the presidential election as a choice

between herself, a former prosecutor, and Donald Trump who's a felon.

And in those roles I took on perpetrators of all kinds.

Predators who abused women, fraudsters, who ripped off consumers, cheaters, who broke the rules for their own gain. So hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type.

Harris's campaign has gotten off to an energetic start.

Weeks of pent-up Democratic panic has given way to a historic fundraising hall.

And new polling showed it's a tight race between Trump and Harris.

Tonight, President Biden will deliver a speech from the White House explaining why he decided to drop out of the

race. You can watch it live on the Post's YouTube channel at 8 p.m. Eastern. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheetel resigned yesterday.

That's number two.

Cheetel had been under a lot of pressure since the agency failed to prevent the assassination attempt against

Trump this month and she faced tough questioning when she testified before Congress

this week. Yesterday Chittle told her staff that she took full responsibility for the failure and would step down.

Ronald Rowe is the Secret Service's second-ranking official.

He'll take over as acting director.

And he takes over during an intense period of election
