0:29.4	Since you're going to hear a lot about Elon Musk's court case that starts today, let's dive into
0:34.9	exactly what's going on. Technically, the trial started yesterday
0:39.2	when a jury was selected for the case and today opening arguments are expected to take place.
0:45.0	Musk is facing a class action lawsuit from Tesla investors who claim they were defrauded by
0:50.2	Elon Musk back in 2018 when he seemingly, out of nowhere, tweeted that he had secured
0:55.7	enough money to take Tesla private, similar to what he did when he purchased Twitter and
1:00.5	took that company private last year. But back to 2018, after he tweeted about taking Tesla private,
1:07.4	Tesla stock jumped. And after the stock price went up, it was pretty clear Musk wasn't
1:12.5	serious about the claim and could have been tweeting those statements to artificially
1:17.1	inflate his company's stock price. Now, if Elon Musk is found guilty, he and Tesla could be on the
1:22.8	hook for billions of dollars and damages to the investors. Elon already tried to have the trial moved
1:28.7	out of San Francisco, claiming that local news coverage made it almost impossible for him to have an
1:33.8	unbiased jury. That request was denied, and on top of that, the judge who was hearing the case
