Last year, we talked a lot about the Colorado River,

having lower than normal levels of water

and how states like Arizona

were getting less than a normal supply. Now, one Arizona suburb has completely lost water.

Rio Verde buys their water from the city of Scottsdale, but Scottsdale said it needs to focus

on conserving water for its own residence. That means about 1,000 people

in this suburb are living like they're at a campsite. And it's not cheap to live in that

suburb either. There are mansions and ranches. This is leaving residents to try to find their

own water sources if they exist, and if they do, they're super expensive.

And there aren't the only area of Arizona dealing with extreme water issues.

As one of her first actions after taking office, Arizona's governor, Katie Hobbs,

unsealed a report showing how a fast-growing area of Phoenix doesn't have enough groundwater
