Look at Luke chapter one in your Bible, Luke chapter one, and let's find if we can, verse,

well, look, go back to verse 28.

We ended there yesterday, where the angel came in unto her and said, hail, thou that are highly favored, the Lord is with thee,

blessed art thou among women.

And I love Mary's response, because her response tells us a lot about her character.

A lot of times in life, the best way to ascertain who a person really is is not how they act.

Because people can choose their actions.

We call them actors that can choose how they want to be perceived.

And so it's not how people act that tell us much about a person.

It's really how people react. And Mary could not

have predicted this announcement. This just happened to her. And her reaction is going to tell us

a lot about who she is. And the Bible says in verse 29, and when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying and cast in her mind what manner

of salutation this should be. You know, what is going on? Why would anybody greet me this way?

Why would I receive this kind of honor, this kind of salutation?

It troubled her that she would be praised in that way. And what a tremendous indicator that
