Number one, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is under more pressure over his use of signal.

Hexeth has been facing heavy criticism following reports that he twice shared operational details about military missions via Signal, a commercial messaging app.

Yesterday, he lashed out in a Fox News interview, blaming the reports on people who have

leaked information to the media.

Following a report in the New York Times that Hegeseth used a

President Donald Trump has stood by Hexeth, echoing his claims that, quote,

disgruntled employees were responsible for the stories. Republican lawmakers have largely followed Trump's

lead in public comments. But in private, many Republican lawmakers are said to have misgivings

about Heg's ability to lead the Defense Department.
