Last fall, I launched a show about the cost of healthcare called an arm and a leg.

And right away, stories started coming in, dozens of them every week, from doctors, from

CFOs, from freelancers, from parents, parents to B, young adults with aging parents, and

a lot of people from other countries, gloating.

As a reporter, I love these kinds of stories.

For one thing, they're intimate and immediate.

We're talking about our bodies here and our pocketbooks, at their most vulnerable.

And every single one of them opens up questions about one of the biggest, most complicated,

most frustrating and, for a lot of us, most terrifying issues in American life.
