There is a loneliness epidemic going on in modern life.

We're more connected than ever through technology, and yet we feel lonelier than ever as a society and on an individual basis.

Making friends after the forced togetherness of childhood schooling journeys, making friends as adults, is so much harder. It's difficult.

We didn't even realize it when we were young and in school that we were forced to be together,

which really did force friendships to seem to just sort of magically happen. Many HSPs and survivors of difficult childhoods.

We have a real struggle with loneliness and friendship,

and that's not just unique to highly sensitive people or survivors.

It's very common for my highly sensitive clients to talk to me privately

about what seems to be an almost universal discomfort, maybe even a

taboo, with age gap friendships, as if something is inherently wrong or off about befriending

people in other age groups.
