This is CBS. I'm John Bachelor. The immediate future, the years 2027, a game to be played

out in space between nuclear armed foes, China, Russia, the United States, and those super

states in between that either are malign actors or can be used by malign actors. I welcome

Henry Sikolsky of the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center, who has provided me

what we know right now of the results of a game, a war game, entitled Commercial Satellite

Use Catalyze, Use Catalyze as Nuclear Armed States to Combat. This requires a set up, so

good evening to Henry. I'll be very brief about the set up. It is the year 2027. We can

imagine it. India, the Republic of India, the most popular state on earth, who is neither

this nor that when it comes to Ukraine. India has purchased a US commercial imagery satellite

51% of it. In order to use it in Sun-Synchronous System, three satellite Sun-Synchronous System,

giving them opportunity for instant communication and picture-taking, and all of the joys of

having a satellite system you can trust, the US vows safe this, and in fact enters into

sharing the system though India controls 51% of it with military payloads and providing

free mobile ground stations, all very good work between allies. However, the People's

Republic of China, an adversary to the United States and its allies, has a system very

much the same and links it to the Pakistani government through a private enterprise, so

that the two traditional foes of the subcontinent, India and Pakistan, now have similar systems.

The Chinese system is said to be peaceful. These are commercial enterprises. These are

not state enterprises, but the state has access to them. Now the bad actor, which is described

as a terrorist group, using a contact at the private enterprise that it is running the

image system for Pakistan, gains access to the system itself and has very bad intentions

to set the states against each other, and they do that by using China's impromptuure

...
