If you got your Bible there, let's go to two openings.

First John 1 and James 1.

1.1 and 5, it says,

this then is the message which we've heard of Him

and declaring to you that God is light.

And in Him is no darkness at all.

Why don't you say that out loud that last phrase there?

God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

Verse 6, he said, if we say that we have fellowship with Him, with God, and we're walking in darkness, now let's just remember what we just read, he's light.

So how are you going to be walking with him and him light and you're in darkness

because if you're really walking with him you'd be in light

because he's light

so if you're walking in darkness you can't be walking with him

if we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness, we're

lying. We lie

and do not the truth.

We're not doing the truth.

And he didn't say, you're wrong,

you're confused, you're mistaken,

you're ignorant, he said you're lying.

So that means, and the rest of the phrase reveals it, you're not doing something you know.

You're not doing the truth you know.
