If you have your Bibles tonight, would you turn to 2 Peter and the third chapter?

2 Peter 3, 16.

Well, verse 15 goes with it.

He says, account that the long suffering of the Lord is salvation, even as our beloved

brother Paul, also according to the wisdom given unto him, has written unto you, as also in

all his epistles speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to be

understood.

You know, the Bible talks about as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word

that you may grow thereby.

And then he talked about that strong meat belonged to those that were of full age,

those that were mature.

So the Word of God is compared to food, natural food,

and there's a wide range of food.

There's, you know, milk is food, but steak is food.

But milk, you can just swallow with no effort,

but you can't just swallow steak.

You have to chew it.

And that's what he says, some things that are hard to be understood.

That doesn't mean they're not good things.

It just means you can't just swallow them.

You have to chew on them and meditate on them.

And he said, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrestle with.
