Between each episode, 'Power Hour' host Adrienne will record bite-sized audio vlogs in real time providing a fresh perspective from outside of the studio. Good morning. It's Bright and Early and I'm up and out again.

Something I really wanted to share this week was this notion of forget what everybody else is doing, forget what anybody else thinks.

0:19.0

Focus on you. And the reason that I've been thinking about this

0:23.7

week is because I was listening to another podcast and I heard this guy say, you know, do it to prove

0:31.7

them wrong. And he was talking about, you know, people in your life that have doubted you or

0:36.4

people in your life who don't believe

0:39.1

in you or they don't believe that you're going to achieve success or believe whatever you want to do.

0:43.4

You know, he's like, do it to prove them wrong, you know? And I was like, really? I kind of just

1:23.3

you know, they lack self-confidence, they doubt their own ability, they doubt their own, you know, their own achievements even.

1:32.3

They kind of, you know, very self-deprecating and, oh, but you know, this person helped me with that or, oh, it wasn't that, whatever the thing is, you know.

1:39.9

And actually, I think, forget proving it to other people.

1:42.6

We need to start proving to ourselves that we can do what we want to do

1:46.0

or that we can achieve success or that we can, you know, run a marathon

1:49.9

or we can get a book deal or whatever it is.

1:53.1

So, yeah, that's something that I'm thinking about today.

1:56.1

Oh, my garment's beeping up me.
