Should you buy a vibration plate? Should you invest more time using one if you already have one?

Do they actually work? Lately, it seems like everybody is talking about vibration plates.

0:09.3

I mean, not a day goes by that I don't get asked that question.

0:12.4

Shalene, do they actually work? And probably like you, I'm seeing some crazy claims.

Like this is the end-all, be-all cure to almost everything that midlife women have to deal with.

I've heard people say that it helps reduce or even eliminate cellulite, reduce your body fat,

that it can make you stronger and leaner and improve your bone density.

You've probably heard claims that it's great for lymphatic drainage, anti-aging, and just overall circulation. So if you're like

0:39.2

me and you're a little skeptical about these kinds of things, and you actually want to know,

0:43.3

like, what does the science say? You're in for a treat. There's some real surprises that I found

0:48.4

when I dug into the science, and I don't like seeing people waste their money. I don't know about you,

1:12.5

I'm becoming more skeptical. I feel like there are a lot of companies and a lot of influencers and

1:17.3

just a lot of people in general that are trying to make us feel like we have to buy every single

little thing and that everything is a miracle cure. And I'm the kind of person who I prefer to look at the science. And that's what we're going to do today. Much like you, I've been seeing vibration plates like all over my social media. I see them at the gym. I have a lot of friends who have them at home. And I've been wondering myself, do I need to plunk down a credit card and buy one of these things like make extra space in my house or is this

1:45.5

is this kind of a gimmick so in the last 30 days i've done the research i've talked to the experts

1:51.0

and i've tested vibration plates myself and there's actually more than one claim that when i
