why you would start composting with worms

as compared to another type of composting, maybe

hot composting, maybe Bocashi,

and then as well as exactly how you would

get a bare-bones system off of the ground.

So today we're talking about why would you choose to compost with worms

compared to what you might call traditional composting, either hot or cold

composting or basically any other composting method, and then we'll get into the

nitty gritty. How do you actually do it on a worm composting 101 level? So first of all Emily, why did you prefer composting with

worms as opposed to traditional composting? You know, I never successfully composted, you know, outside in a

composter or in a pile. Um, and for me, I did actually research that when I

started out composting and I was so overwhelmed with the mathematics of how you are going to need to figure out how much carbon how much nitrogen but some you know carbon sources have nitrogen and nitrogen have carbon.

It was like, I didn't even want to deal with it.

And then when I looked and saw how, you know, you need to have a ratio in a worm bin but it's not at all

something that you measure you go a lot more based upon how the bin smells and
