in French has died, Dawn Foster, who's a brilliant British socialist writer. That's just

sent a lot of shockwaves to the British left, so bear with me, because I only found out

45 minutes ago, and she was a brilliant writer, full of humanity in courage for the both British

and the Irish left. It is a big shock. I'm very sorry to hear that.

That's okay, that's okay. I mean, yeah, it's a bit heavy to put that in, but while I'm

doing the first video, since she died, just to remember what a brilliant and humane

and courageous person she was, that's said and done. Bear with me.

So, do you know what? Just hit me. What is the function of being a left YouTuber? I'm

very basic question. Like, what are we doing with our lives? What's your focus? Come on.

Hit me with it. Existential.

The internet is at the moment, by far, the best cost investment to eyeballs on your content

ratio that you can get for producing any kind of political media. Nothing else comes

close. You can produce pamphlets, you can stand out in a street corner and scream at people,

you can attempt to unionize, you can get a television show, you can do anything and everything.

Nothing comes close to the potential of the internet. You can reach, you would know

this better than I, because you're quite a bit larger than I am, but with essentially

no budget, you can reach millions of people. It's extraordinary and unprecedented. And I

think this is an avenue that left us need to explore more aggressively. The thing is,

we don't have money, not compared to our antagonists, the very least, business interests

...
