Anytime you go to an expert, they have all of their training, all their education, their certification,

and then they have all of their experience. That is something that is to be respected. That is something

to be cherished because it takes so much of their adult life to get to that point. However,

that never trumps and that never extends past the amount of hours that you have with your

specific child.

And so you know your specific child better than anyone else on the planet because you spend

the most time with them.

When we get into a medical environment, we tend to kind of

abdicate that knowledge thinking, oh, well, it's not valuable because I don't have an MD

behind my name or I'm not an RN. And that's not true. We need to step into that expertise

of our own child and use it as collaboration. And we need to share our intuition. Mother's

intuition is data.
