post-industrialism utopianism. This is a concept that I translate in my

science fiction brain into H.G. Wells Genius at the turn of the 20th from the

19th century, the time machine. You will recall our time traveler wound up in a

place where he was quite puzzled.

Where were the machines to make this bubble of a palace

and feed these Eloy children?

Where were the machines that had rendered

this beautiful landscape.

What happened?

Who is making those clothes?

He eventually discovers the Morlocks, the underground people, who live in darkness, and when he descends to them they become ferocious

and cannibal-like and enraged why because they eat the Eli and the surface at night

it's never safe for the Elioy to go out after dark. There's no security for them.

That was how I translated Gregory's presentation of utopianism and post-industrialism.

In other words, we have a culture in which the elite,

those of us in the United States qualify every one of us. We enjoy the fruits of the Morlocks working in raw materials and the manufacture of goods underground.

Is that a fair translation, Gregory, of H.G. Wells's story, not yours.

Yes, it is indeed.
